Paul Affleck
Paul is an Independent Specialist Ethics Adviser for the Advisory Group for Data (AGD).
About Paul
Paul originally trained as an adult nurse before becoming a research nurse and then a research manager. Paul has a MA in Healthcare Ethics and has written articles for both academic and professional audiences, including papers in Nurse Researcher, the Journal of Medical Ethics, the British Dental Journal and the Nursing Standard.
Paul is currently a member of the Ministry of Defence Research Ethics Committee and works as a research programme manager at the University of Leeds. He was a member of the School of Medicine Research Ethics Committee at the University of Leeds for six years.
Through being a blood donor, Paul has participated in several research studies and is a member of the UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration Involvement Network
