Dr Rob French

Rob did a PhD at University College London (UCL), followed by postdoc work with the Centre for Multilevel Modelling (CMM) and the Medical Research Council Integrative Epidemiology Unit (MRC-IEU) at the University of Bristol. He moved to Cardiff University in 2016 to start a Medical Research Council Fellowship modelling health and educational outcomes for children and young people with diabetes.

Rob has continued to develop the scope of this work with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) awards, including the linkage of health and education data for children with other health conditions beyond diabetes.

Rob also works with Diabetes UK to help develop the dialogue with young people with diabetes on the use of their health data for research.
