Establishment of information systems for NHS services: Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Long-Term Conditions (LTC) data collection) Directions 2018
NHS England has directed NHS Digital to establish a system for collection of data from all Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Long-Term Conditions (LTC) wave 1 and wave 2 providers in England taking part in the Integrated Health Pilot.
Purpose
This pilot exercise is linked to the existing IAPT data set standard through the collection of LTC and/or MUS data from participating IAPT providers and services. The data collected will be used to assess the impact of the Integrated IAPT Early Implementers Programme on health outcomes and use of primary and secondary healthcare services. Currently, 35 IAPT providers are being supported as Integrated IAPT Early Implementers in 2016/17 and 2017/18. Data will continue to be collected from these sites throughout 2018/19 and beyond until such time as the LTC collection can be merged into the IAPT v2.0 dataset, which is under development and expected to be in use by 2019.
Legal basis
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 254(1), (3) and (6) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012.
This Direction was replaced by the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Directions 2021 on 7 January 2021.
