National Audit of Pulmonary Hypertension - National Services Scotland Non-Mandatory Request
Formal request from National Services Scotland to establish and operate an information system for the collection and analysis of patient information from providers of pulmonary hypertension services in Scotland.
Purpose
The purpose of the Request (Purpose) is to enable NSS to measure the quality of care provided to people referred to pulmonary hypertension services in Scotland, by answering the following questions:
- Are pulmonary hypertension services appropriate?
- Are patients receiving the right treatment in a timely manner?
- What are the outcomes for patients with pulmonary hypertension?
Legal basis
This Request is made under section 255(1) and section 256(2) of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (the 2012 Act).
