Using the filters
On the Home page you will be asked to select the amount of data you wish to view within the dashboard. You should select the minimum data you require; this will improve the data processing time when using filter within the following pages.
The default year range will be automatically updated to include more years if the year filter is changed in the ‘Compare Years’ page.
On all pages you can use the filters to select the date range for the data presented and select the measure to be displayed on the dashboard. Since the dashboard is interactive, when you select a filter, it will automatically update the views on all pages.
Dates
The default date range of the dashboard shows information for the year range selected on the home page up to the date shown at the top right of the page.
You can choose your own custom data range by either dragging the end points to the desired date or clicking on the date to bring up a calendar.
When selecting a date range, the ‘from’ date should fall on a Monday and the ‘to’ date should fall within the week you wish your weekly period to end. Please note if you select a ‘from’ date between Tuesday – Sunday, the dashboard will show data commencing the following Monday.
Useful tips - Measures and filters
When viewing data in the ‘Headline Metrics’ page, the blue figures can be selected to take the user to the ‘Metric Analysis’ page to view the data in a more detailed view, filters on this page will be automatically updated.
Filters on measures will be applied when items are changed in the drop-down menus. When boxes appear next to the drop-down list, this indicates that one or multiple measures can be selected.
After applying a filter, these can be removed by selecting the filter icon within filter box.
The drop down at the side of the filter icon allows you to include or exclude the selected filters.
Excluding values will filter the dashboard to show all data other than the ones selected within the filter.
Dashboard visualisation
Once you have selected your filters, depending on the page you are viewing, a set of headline figures, charts and tables will present the metrics for the measures and date range chosen.
If the information icon is present within a page, this denotes that there is additional information available, this can be viewed by placing your mouse curser over the icon.
When viewing any chart or graph, placing the mouse curser over chart points will display the data in a pop-up box.
Download your data
In the same way as the dashboard, users can select their date range and measures of interest to filter the table data displayed.
You can download your own data via the Download page in the e-RS Reporting dashboard. Data can be downloaded by following these steps.
1. Select the Download page.
2. Use the filters to select the desired measures and date range.
3. Click Download in the top right-hand corner.
4. You will then be presented with options for downloading the data.
5. Click on ‘Download_Data’ to download the data displayed in the table. It is advised that the ‘CSV’ format is selected, this will improve the downloads formatting.
