Welcome to the National Diabetes Audit dashboard hub. This page provides links to a number of interactive data visualisation tools containing data relating to provision of care and services for people with diabetes.

These dashboards are mainly produced in Microsoft Power BI at present and allow users to interact with the data available.

National Diabetes Inpatient Safety Audit Annual Dashboard

This annual dashboard presents harms submission data relating to 4 key harms that can occur to diabetic inpatients in England and Wales. It also contains information on responses to the questions relating to inpatients with diabetes from the Integrated Specialist Services (ISS) Survey for hospital sites in England and Wales.

Non-diabetic Hyperglycaemia/Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDH-DPP) Dashboard

This dashboard is no longer being updated with new data and will be removed on 31 July 2025. The latest data in this dashboard relates to 2023-24.

National Diabetes Audit Type 1 Dashboard

This dashboard presents data related to findings and recommendations for care process completion, treatment target achievement, glucose technologies and insulin regimens for people with type 1 diabetes aged 19 and over.

Adolescent and Young Adult Type 1 Diabetes Dashboard

This dashboard presents data related to the audit of care provision during the period when young people with diabetes move from paediatric to adult based clinical care.

National Diabetes Audit Young People with Type 2 Diabetes Dashboard

This dashboard presents related to the number of people with type 2 diabetes under the age of 40 years, their patient characteristics and the diabetes care they receive.

National Diabetes Foot Care Audit Dashboard

The National Diabetes Foot Care Audit is a continuous audit of diabetic foot disease in England and Wales. The audit enables all diabetes foot care services to measure their performance against the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) clinical guidelines and peer units, and to monitor adverse outcomes for people with diabetes who develop diabetic foot disease. This dashboard allows an exploration of footcare service data at service, commissioner and regional levels.

National Diabetes Audit Complications and Mortality Dashboard

This dashboard provides trends in rates of complications and mortality over time broken down by various demographics - using the data from the NDA and Hospital Episode Statistics (HES). Where data is available on complications/outcomes for people without diabetes, risk ratios are also provided for trend analysis purposes comparing the risk for people with diabetes (type 1 or type 2 and other) against the risk for people without diabetes over time.

National Pregnancy in Diabetes Audit Dashboard

The National Pregnancy in Diabetes (NPID) Audit aims to support clinical teams to deliver better care and outcomes for women with diabetes who become pregnant. This dashboard presents an interactive visual version of the service level report for maternity services.
