About this information standard
The Neonatal Data Set outlines the data items required for the secondary uses data set, the National Neonatal Research Database (NNRD). The NNRD collects data about the care of babies admitted to NHS neonatal units and is maintained by the Neonatal Data Analysis Unit (NDAU), based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Campus of Imperial College London.
This information standard is published under section 250 of the Health and Social Care Act 2012. An Information Standards Notice (see below) provides an overview of scope and implementation timescales, and the other listed documents provide further detail for those who have to implement the information standard.
