  • the estimated three month GP vacancy rate and estimated Practice Nurse and Staff three month vacancies per 100,000 patients have fallen in England and Wales in 2008. This represents a continuing trend for GPs vacancies in England and Wales and for Practice Nurses vacancies in England
  • the estimated total GP vacancy rate was four times higher than the estimated 3 month rate in England and three times higher in Wales
  • the estimated total number of practice nurse vacancies per 100,000 patients was three times higher than the estimated three month number in England
  • the estimated total number of practice staff vacancies per 100,000 patients was four times higher than the estimated three month number in England and 3.5 times higher in Wales.
