Summary
The NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme (DPP) is a joint commitment from NHS England and Diabetes UK to deliver, at scale, evidence based behavioural interventions that can prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes in adults who have been identified as having non-diabetic hyperglycaemia (NDH).
This report presents the national audit findings, summarising registration and demographic information on people registered in GP Practices in England who have non-diabetic hyperglycaemia. Non-diabetic hyperglycaemia involves blood glucose levels that are above normal levels, but not in the diabetic range.
Also presented are the numbers of people recorded in GP practices as having been offered DPP behavioural change courses up to the end of March 2024, and the numbers that have declined, or not declined, to attend these courses.
The report is for England only.
Please note that this data was extracted in May 2024, and reflects the mapping at this time. Subsequent changes to GP/PCN mapping will not be reflected until the next publication.
