Summary

Update 2 March 2023: Following the merger of NHS Digital and NHS England on 1st February 2023 we are reviewing the future presentation of the NHS Outcomes Framework indicators. As part of this review, the annual publication which was due to be released in March 2023 has been delayed. Further announcements about this dataset will be made on this page in due course.

The number of Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infections reported to Public Health England (PHE).

This indicator aims to measure the progress in reducing the incidence of avoidable harm, specifically healthcare-associated MRSA infections.

As of August 2019, please refer to the data tables published by Public Health England (PHE) available via the resource link below.

Within the PHE website navigate to the time period of interest. The data for the indicator is displayed in tab 'monthly_table'. The filters within this tab can be used to select the provider of interest.
