Personal Health Budgets - Quarter 2 2021-22 publication

Summary

These documents provide information for all clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in England who submitted data regarding the completion of the mandatory Personal Health Budgets data collection for Quarter 2 of the 2021-2022 financial year.

Note that there has been no Personal Health Budgets data collection since Quarter 3 of 2019-2020 due to COVID-19.


Highlights

80,148 people had Personal Health Budgets at the end of Quarter 2 2021-22

A decrease of 8,805 compared to Quarter 3 2019-20 and an increase of 9,158 compared to Quarter 2 2019-20.

 

17,174 Personal Health Budgets from Adult NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) at the end of Quarter 2 2021-22

A decrease of 2,386 compared to Quarter 3 2019-20 and an increase of 986 compared to Quarter 2 2019-20.

66.5% of the total Personal Health Budgets were delivered as a notional budget

28% delivered as a direct payment and 6.5% delivered as a third party budget.
