Summary
This statistical release makes available the most recent Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) monthly data, including activity, waiting times, and outcomes such as recovery.
IAPT is run by the NHS in England and offers NICE-approved therapies for treating people with depression or anxiety.
This release also includes reports from the IAPT integrated health pilot and the IAPT Employment Adviser pilot.
Key Facts
In August 2018 there were:
-- 122,804 new referrals;
-- 86,829 referrals that entered treatment;
-- 48,748 referrals that finished a course of treatment, of which;
-- 89.7 per cent waited less than 6 weeks and 99.2 per cent waited less than 18 weeks to enter treatment;
-- 45,777 started their treatment at caseness, with 50.7 per cent moving to recovery.
