Recorded dementia prevalence at 31 March 2017 is 0.766 per cent (1 person in 131).
When considered alongside monthly data collected in 2015/16, this indicates a progressive increase in recorded prevalence from March 2016 (0.758) to March 2017 (0.766).
Of the extract cohort, data for 7,216 practices were collected, representing 98.1 per cent coverage of cohort practices.
76.0 per cent of patients on the practices' dementia registers had their ethnicity recorded as either 'Not stated' or 'No ethnicity code'.
Due to a technical issue 57 practices' data are not available in this month's publication, and will be included next month.
