NHAIS developer document library

This information aims to help GP IT suppliers to understand NHAIS GP links requirements, and may be useful to architects and designers who wish to understand which messages have been deprecated since the original requirements were issued.

Library of resources

We recognise that the National Health Application and Infrastructure Services (NHAIS) integration requirement may not be the most straightforward solutions to integrate with and as such we have aimed to contextualise where a supplier needs to start in order to deliver a suitable solution.

This information is intended to help GP IT suppliers to understand the utility and purpose of various NHAIS GP links requirements, now principally hosted on developer network, but that may also be accessible from other sources such as GP IT futures’ central repository of requirements.

This information should be of interest to the following type of users:

  • system suppliers unfamiliar with integrating with NHAIS already.
  • architects and designers involved in the supply of software that integrates with NHAIS.
  • architects and designers who wish to understand which messages have been deprecated since the original requirements were issued.

Requirements for systems integrating with NHAIS are included in this page. Systems will further need to carry out compliance and assurance testing to ensure their integrations are in conformance with these requirements.

All of the appendices relate to the GP Systems Specifications V2.0 and are presented in this way because they were extracted from earlier CD-ROM formatting. Many are dated from 2001.

You may find it useful to read the guide to NHAIS/GP links documentation to better understand how to use some of the documents listed on this page.
