Coming soon
Access to deceased patient records
Currently, practices do not have access to the digital Lloyd George records of deceased patients in this service because these records do not have an ODS code. We are working on a new part of the service which will give practices access to the Lloyd George records of deceased patients.
Release 1.5.10
26 February 2025
What’s new
You can now view a patient record to the maximum width of your screen. This will make it easier for you to view and read the record.
Our new feedback survey is ready for you to complete. You can access this through the link in the feedback form found within the service (see the image below). We welcome any comments or suggestions you have about the service through this survey.
What we’ve changed
When records are initially transferred to the service, we carry out validation checks against the Patient Demographics Service to make sure we are transferring the right Lloyd George record for the right patient. We have improved these validation checks, which means we can move more records into the service. This means there will be less work for practices to resolve validation errors.
We’ve made improvements to backend of the service in preparation for the annual security review. These changes will ensure we are meeting cyber security standards and providing a secure service for our users.
Release version 1.5.9

This release includes changes to the content and design of some of our service pages to improve the user experience and accessibility.

Change to heading levels on the Privacy notice page
We have changed the heading level labels on the Privacy notice page. This will make it easier for screen reader users to understand the structure of the content.
File size added to the download page
We have added information about file size to the download page. This is so that you will know how much storage space on your computer a record will use if you choose to download it.
New wording for cancel link on the download page
We have changed the wording of the cancel link on the download screen from ‘Cancel’ to ‘Cancel and return to patient record’. This is so that you will know what page you will go to if you click this link.
Prompt to search with Control and F will not appear when no record is available
We have removed the text prompt ‘To search within this record, use Control and F’ from the ‘Available records’ page when there is no record available to view.
