Close a position
How to close a position and remove access to it from all user profiles.
Which roles can do this?
- Registration Authority Manager
- Registration Authority Agent (Advanced)
From the Care Identity Management home page, choose 'Manage access'.
In the list of positions on the 'Manage access' screen, select the name of the position you want to close. You can use the search and filter options to find the position you're looking for.
You'll now see the details of this position. At the bottom of the page, select 'Close position and remove access from all assigned users'.
Next you'll be asked to select the box to confirm you want to close the position. You will also need to provide details of the reason for closing the position and who has approved it.
The next screen has been added as an extra security measure to make sure a position is not closed by mistake. You will need to type the word 'CLOSE" in all capitals into the relevant text box and choose 'Confirm position closure' for the position closure to be initiated.
Finally you'll see a message confirming that the position closure is in progress. This can take a few minutes.
