Batch manage position assignments for multiple users
How to assign, edit or remove position assignments for more than one user via the position details screen in Care Identity Management.
Which roles can do this?
- Registration Authority Manager
- Registration Authority Agent (Advanced)
Go to the Care Identity Management home page and choose 'Manage access'.
The 'Positions' tab will be open by default on the next screen. From the list of positions shown, select the name of the position you want to manage.
Assign multiple position assignments via the position details screen
On the position details screen, select 'Assign to users'.
You'll now be asked to enter a list of UUIDs of the user profiles you want to add this position to. Enter the UUIDs either:
- separated by commas
- with each UUID on a new line
Note: you can enter up to 100 UUIDs at a time. To assign the position to more than 100 UUIDs, repeat this process for each set of up to 100 UUIDs.
You'll now see a list of the profiles matched with the UUIDs you entered. You'll also see an alert for any UUIDs where a match could not be found.
If you're happy with the list, select 'Continue'.
Next enter the start and end dates for this position assignment. To confirm, select 'Assign position to users'.
Finally you'll see confirmation that the position assignment is in progress.
Edit multiple position assignments via the position details screen
On the position details screen, switch to the 'Assigned users' tab. Select the box of each user profile of which you want to change the assignment date, and select 'Edit dates for selected users'.
Enter the new assignment expiry dates for these user profiles, add any notes, and select 'Confirm'.
You'll see a confirmation message that the change is in progress. This can take a few minutes to complete in Care Identity Management.
Remove multiple position assignments via the position details screen
On the position details screen, use the tick boxes to select the user profiles from which you want to remove this position. Then, below the list of positions, select 'Remove selected users'.
Select the box to confirm you want to remove the position from these user profiles, add any notes, and select 'Remove'.
You'll see a confirmation message that the removal is in progress. This can take a few minutes to complete in Care Identity Management.
