Manage multiple positions assignments on a user profile

How to manage multiple positions assigned to a user via that user's profile screen in Care Identity Management.

Which roles can do this?

  • Registration Authority Manager
  • Registration Authority Agent (Advanced)

Edit multiple positions via a user's profile

From the Care Identity Management home page, choose 'Find an existing user'.

Enter the user's details and press 'Search'.

Choose 'View profile' on the right of the screen.

In the lower part of the user details screen, you'll see the list of positions currently assigned to the user's smartcard.

Use the tick boxes to select the positions you want to edit. Then, below the list of positions, select 'Edit selected end dates'.

On the next screen the default option is to change all the positions you've selected to the same expiry date.

You're also given the option to enter different expiry dates for each selected position.

When you've made your changes and selected 'Confirm', you'll see a confirmation message.

Remove multiple positions via a user's profile

Follow the steps above to search for and select the user profile.

On the user profile screen, use the tick boxes to select the positions you want to remove. Then, below the list of positions, select 'Remove selected positions'.

On the next screen, confirm that you want to remove these positions, add any notes, and select 'Remove'.

You'll then see a confirmation message.
