Close a user profile
How to remove all access from a user.
Which roles can do this?
- Registration Authority Manager
- Registration Authority Agent (Advanced)
- Registration Authority Agent
- Sponsor - via request
From the Care Identity Management home page, choose 'Find an existing user'.
Enter the user's details and select 'Search'.
Choose 'View profile' on the right of the screen.
On the user profile screen, at the bottom of the page choose the link in red text, 'Close profile and remove all access'.
You'll now be asked to confirm you want to close the profile, which will close all the user's open requests, remove all access and cancel all authenticators assigned to them, including smartcards.
Select the check box to confirm, choose the reason you're closing the profile and add any relevant notes, then select 'Close profile'.
You'll now see a message confirming that the profile is being closed.
This process can take a few minutes but you do not need to do anything else. If you visit the user's profile again later, you should see a message confirming that the profile is closed.
