NHS Care Identity Service - Rebuild directories

NHS CIS Authentication will be rebuilding directories on the evening of Wednesday 7 May 2025, between 8.30pm and 12.30am, in preparation for the upgrade of the Spine Directory Services on Saturday 10 May.

Therefore, the AfCID, Care Identity Management (CIM) and self-service smartcard unlock applications will be unavailable throughout the change period. Smartcard authentication and connections to the SDS will be unaffected.
