NHS Care Identity Service release 11.0

We are releasing an update to CIS Auth services on Saturday 10 May 2025, between 9am and 6pm.

The Care Identity Management (CIM) and self-service smartcard unlock applications will be unavailable throughout the upgrade period. Smartcard authentication and connections to the SDS will be unaffected

This release includes

• Upgrade to the Spine Directory Service (SDS)

We are confident there will be no direct impact to customers other than the CIM and self-service smartcard unlock unavailability mentioned above. This upgrade has been applied to the Path to Live environments since 30 October (INT) and 8 November 2024 (DEV/DEP/TRAIN) and there are no current known issues.
