Acceleration

The use of acceleration tooling and disciplines allows configuration alignment and script reusability. This could be through manual activities or fully automated DevOps activities. As this discipline matures, the cloud governance team can serve as a partner in DevOps and deployment strategies by accelerating deployments and removing barriers to cloud adoption, through the application of reusable assets.

All assets deployed to the cloud should be deployed using templates or automation scripts whenever possible.

The following policies will be implemented:

• key metrics and diagnostics measures will be identified for all production systems and components, and monitoring and diagnostic tools will be applied to these systems and monitored regularly by operations personnel.
• operations will consider using monitoring and diagnostic tools in non-production environments such as staging and QA to identify system issues before they occur in the production environment
