Notifications - NHS e-Referral Service

System notification functionality enables the communication of messages directly to users of the NHS e-Referral Service within the application. We will use these notifications to keep you up-to-date with important news, new features and system outages.

Unread notifications will be indicated with a number in the screen banner.

When a critical message is issued, this information displays in a yellow banner at the top of each e-RS screen.

Selecting ‘Read Now’ will show more information about the alert whereas selecting ‘Remind Me Later’ will remove the alert notification from the screen. The message will reappear after 15 minutes until the ‘Read Now’ option is selected.

You can also view your alerts at any time by clicking on the ‘Notifications’ button on the top right of your screen.

Any notification with a red dot indicates the message hasn't been read. The alerts with 'High priority' labels are critical messages and should be read by the user.
