Release APIM-R-1.40 - 21 January 2025

This update makes a change to the referrer worklist endpoint: Retrieve referral worklist (A008).

The change will allow partners to retrieve the 'Appointment Slot Issues' (ASI) worklist via the application-restricted, unattended access mode.

There are some caveats with this security pattern. The service filter is mandatory, and you must restrict worklist retrieval to two times a day, per service.

We have identified that the e-RS API does not strictly enforce fields using the FHIR instant datatype.

FHIR documentation defines the instant datatype as: “An instant in time - known at least to the second and always includes a time zone.”

The API currently accepts FHIR instant values that:

• do not have a time component
• have a date and time but are missing the time zone

As part of this release, the API will begin rejecting FHIR instant values without a time component.

Later in 2025, it will also reject FHIR instant values that lack a time zone.
