General Medical Services (GMS) census download
Extracts from the National Health Applications and Infrastructure Services (NHAIS) systems formed a census of GPs on a GMS contract.
This service has been retired
The General Medical Services (GMS) service has been retired and is no longer available for use.
GP, partnership, patient and payment details were extracted from the National Health Applications and Infrastructure Services (NHAIS) systems. NHAIS systems were run by service agencies throughout England, Wales and Isle of Man.
The extract was initiated at the close of each quarter and transferred internally to NHS Digital, where an annual extract was undertaken at the end of September each year.
