Data quality monitoring by groups of schools

View data quality and progress information by groups of schools

The NCMP system provides real-time data quality indicators.

By default, these indicators are for all schools.

Data quality indicators across all schools cannot pick up issues that only occur for a small group of schools.

For example

A nurse team mistakenly records all children’s heights to the nearest centimetre (instead of millimetre) across the group of schools they have been assigned to measure in.

However, across all the other schools the nurse teams have correctly recorded heights to the nearest millimetre and therefore the proportion of whole number heights is around 10%, as expected, for these schools.

Consequently, the whole number heights data quality indicator for all schools is below the required threshold of 20% and the error made by the nurse team is missed
