People can view hospital referrals and appointments in the App. Help people, including your patients, find out about this feature using our promotional pack.

About this promotional toolkit

It’s easy to download and print our posters to promote the NHS App. You can also share our images on your display screens, social media and website. 

You can use these materials to promote the NHS App in GP surgeries, pharmacies, other healthcare settings, universities, libraries, community groups, charities and anywhere else you can help people learn about the App.

The zip file below contains:

  • 9 images in different sizes for your website
  • 3 images in different sizes for social media
  • a selection of waiting room digital displays images  including 2 for the core features in the NHS App, available in (view if your trust is live)  and 2 that include additional features that may be available in your area  
  • 2 versions of the A4 poster you can print in black and white or colour, one for the core features in the NHS App available for all live trusts and one that includes additional features that may be available in your area

You can see your hospital and appointments in one place through the NHS App if you are 16 or over. You can also see supporting information and who to contact if you have any questions.

Download the NHS App or find the same services on the NHS website www.nhs.uk/nhs-app 

For trusts with additional features (check which features are enabled in your trust and delete below as applicable). 

View your hospital referrals and appointments in the NHS App

If you are 16 or over you can book, change and cancel your hospital referrals and appointments in the NHS App. 

You can also:

  • provide pre-appointment information
  • view letters and documents
  • see contact information
  • receive notifications and messages
  • change paperless preferences

On the homepage of the NHS app you can check confirm and change details of your upcoming hospital appointment. 

Scroll down and select upcoming and past appointments. 

You will see details of any upcoming referrals and appointments. 

To see the details and reply to any actions click on the green box next to the referral or appointment.
