News - week commencing 4 March 2024

Current and future non-production environment plans and other relevant topics to help make connecting to NHS national systems easier.

Current plans

ERS ALPHA environment moving to use Spine integration environment

All current e-RS API testing is done in the ERS INT environment, connected to the Spine Integration environment.  By exception, NHS England may previously have invited some partners to perform pre-release testing of e-RS APIs in the eRS ALPHA environment. However, the ERS ALPHA environment is connected to the Spine Development environment. This means invited partners needed to onboard to two different Spine environments. To alleviate this problem, NHS England are transferring the ERS ALPHA environment from Spine Development to Spine Integration. This will make testing easier and allow more partners to use the facility when required. No date has been set for this migration so please keep viewing the newsletter for further updates. No data will be transferred as part of migration. It is important to note that the ERS ALPHA environment is not a standard test environment and should not be used by partners unless invited to do so by NHS England.
