Record a vaccination service

Find out about the NHS Record a vaccination service (RAVS), including who can use it and how to onboard.

About the system

NHS Record a vaccination service (RAVS) allows you to record RSV, pertussis, COVID-19, and flu vaccinations. Every vaccination recorded in RAVS automatically appears in the GP system the following day.

NHS England developed RAVS to provide a streamlined, NHS-owned Point-of-Care (POC) system that makes it easier and quicker to record vaccinations. It was designed in collaboration with users of other POC systems across various delivery settings to ensure it meets the needs of end users.

The service went live in September 2024. We are committed to continually improving it. We encourage users to provide feedback and take part in user research to help shape the service.

Efficient co-administration recording: Allows consecutive entry of multiple vaccinations for the same person without duplicate data entry.

Enhanced data accuracy: Integrated with centralised data sources to ensure accurate records and reduce data flow issues.

Comprehensive reporting: You can generate reports for up to a month, filtered by date, vaccine type, or site, to support payment reconciliation and operational workflows.
