What Good Looks Like - Digital Maturity Assessments

The national What Good Looks Like Digital Maturity Assessment (WGLL DMA) Programme will allow pre-selected respondents from provider organisations and ICS to self-assess their relative maturity levels against the What Good Looks Like Framework digital capabilities.

  • We have now officially closed the 2023 WGLL DMA survey. The survey achieved 100% completion by all in scope organisations
    • 42 ICSs
    • 138 Acute Providers
    • 133 Community Providers
    • 61 Mental Health Trusts
    • 11 Ambulance Trusts
  • The initial assessment was followed by a robust validation exercise with provider, ICS and regional review sessions. the assessment has given a wealth of information (circa 50,000 data points) across the domain of 'what good looks like)
  • The WGLL DMA results hub was launched on 30th June. This is an interactive dashboard that allows provider, ICS, regional and national benchmarking.
  • There will be a weekly thematic review of the DMA results on the CIO Touchbase from the 17th July, and we are planning regional insight sessions for September ahead of planning cycles to ensure evidence-based planning for DMA Year 2

About this programme

The national What Good Looks Like Digital Maturity Assessment (WGLL DMA) Programme will allow pre-selected respondents from provider organisations and ICS to self-assess their relative maturity levels against the What Good Looks Like Framework digital capabilities.

The programme offers an online assessment platform, a bespoke, interactive data and insight dashboard and a wrap around support offer to every ICS in England.

The data and insight from the assessment is key to providing an evidence-base for planning and investment to digital transformation as part of the levelling up agenda and identifying opportunities to ensure resilience in existing digital infrastructure.

This programme is for:

  • Respondents will be pre-identified through engagement with regional and ICS digital transformation teams and data and insights will be used to inform strategic planning at an ICS, Regional and National level
