This supplementary information contains a collection of management information that has been assembled to assist in making management decisions related to the NHS App, aggregated to a monthly level. This information is being published to support upcoming analyses and research.
The NHS App collects basic activity data relating to specific tasks performed in the NHS App. Historical extracts of these data have been used internally to understand utilisation of specific features in the app and for the purposes of internal management and tracking.
It’s important to note that the management information in this publication is currently undergoing review to prepare it for routine publication, and it is possible that the metric definitions, methodologies, and reported values could be revised as a result of this process. If this is the case, this supplementary file or existing statements will not be reissued. However, any new figures used in public statements or released in the routine publications will have the underpinning data and methodology included or released as supplementary information.
One metric included in this publication that is near the end of the review process is GP Health Record Views. In this publication, to allow for analyses that evaluate previous and future published figures, this metric has been included alongside the approved replacement metric (GP Health Record Sessions) while the transition is ongoing. Definitions for both metrics have been provided in the published document.
