Learning disability data hub

A central repository for learning disability data produced by NHS England including publications, dashboards, supporting information for underlying datasets and technical guidance, alongside signposting to other useful sources of information.

The hub is designed to help people find data relating to the health and care of people with a learning disability. It supports NHS providers, NHS funded services and integrated care board (ICBs) to improve data quality so that it more accurately reflects the services they provide in national datasets, and to allow for consistent data reporting.

Latest monthly statistics on patients in mental health hospitals who are autistic and/or have a learning disability from the Assuring Transformation (AT) collection and Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS).

Health and Care of People with Learning Disabilities

Provides information about differences in health and care between people with a learning disability and those without.

Learning Disabilities Health Check Scheme

This is a GP enhanced service. The monthly publication includes counts of patients who have a QOF diagnostic learning disability, and who have received or declined a learning disability health check and a health action plan. The Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) is a key component of the NHS in England, designed to incentivise GP practices to deliver high-quality care through a structured points-based system.

LeDeR summarises the lives and deaths of people with a learning disability and autistic people who died in England in annual reports.

Learning Disabilities Census Report

The Learning Disability census reports present findings from the Learning Disability census which collected information on patients in mental health hospital who had a learning disability or who were autistic until September 2015.
