Quarterly and 1-year rolling unadjusted percentage of all cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2
This section relates to the 1-year rolling unadjusted ‘percentage of all cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2’ indicator (previously known as 75% ambition indicator) which is presented at a Cancer Alliance level.
All stageable cancer groups are included within this section, this includes the 16 cancer groups in Table 1 plus other stageable cancer groups defined according to the UKIACR. The denominator is the total number of cancers diagnosed with a valid stage.

When comparing the most recent 1-year rolling period, January to December 2022, with the same period in 2021, the unadjusted percentage of cancers diagnosed at stages 1 and 2 were significantly higher for 8 Cancer Alliances. For 12 Cancer Alliances these differences were not significantly different.
