Summary

This is a monthly report on publicly funded community services for people of all ages using data from the Community Services Data Set (CSDS) reported in England for November 2022. It has been developed to help achieve better outcomes and provide data that will be used to commission services in a way that improves health, reduces inequalities, and supports service improvement and clinical quality.

These statistics are classified as experimental and should be used with caution. Experimental statistics are new official statistics undergoing evaluation. More information about experimental statistics can be found on the UK Statistics Authority website (linked at the bottom of this page).

The csv data file for November 2022 and provisional data file for December 2022 now include organisational level breakdown by Integrated Care Board (ICB). This change occured from October 2022, and is reflected in the Power BI dashboard.


Key Facts

This report contains key information based on the submissions that have been made by providers to the Community Services Data Set (CSDS) collection and focuses on data relating to activity that occurred in November 2022 as follows:

For November 2022, 184 providers successfully submitted data with 178 submitting referrals data and 171 submitting care contact data.

There were 1,523,055 referrals received relating to 1,116,540 persons needing care.

Of these: 327k referrals related to 290k children and young people aged 0 to 18, 434k related to 360k adults aged 19 to 64 and 761k related to 466k adults aged 65 and over.

There were 8,357,805 care contacts across all submitters.

Of these: 1.75m related to children and young people age 0 to 18, 1.88m related to adults aged 19 to 64 and 4.72m related to adults aged 65 and over.
