New visualisations in interactive dashboard

The interactive report accompanying this publication includes five new pages as part of this release. They present additional practice-level visualisations as well as headcounts by ethnic group and staff group at England and regional levels.

The new practice-level pages can be found by selecting the 'Further Practice Information' under Contents on the dashboard home page to access four new pages - 'Practice level data by Headcount', 'Practice level data by Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)'', 'Practice level data by Job Role, Age Band and Gender' and 'Practice FTE and Headcount by PCN group'.

The ethnicity visualisations can be found by selecting the 'Selected statistics filtered on multiple census dates' under Contents on the dashboard home page, followed by 'All Staff Groups, Headcount by Ethnicity'.

Tracking GPs into and out of partner and salaried roles

On 24 November 2022 we released the results of some new experimental analysis of general practice workforce data on our supplementary information pages. The aim of the analysis was to explore the path GPs take into and out of partner and salaried roles.

Experimental statistics are subject to development. However, our aim is to introduce this analysis to this series of Official Statistics in early 2023. We would be grateful for feedback from users about the new analysis, its usefulness and whether it could be improved. Please email us at: [email protected]

For more information and to download the results, please see the supplementary information page.
