NHS Surplus Land, Quarter 4 2023/24
Official statistics, Experimental statistics
User Centred Data Quality Measures
Trade-Offs between Output Quality Components
Statistics are released as soon as possible after collection. Organisations were given from 22nd January 2024 to 8th April 2024 to provide up to date information on the system. Due to non-compliance, we extended this period to 8th May 2024 after checking data quality for the organisations that had provided a return (the majority). One return was still outstanding (see "Accuracy and Reliability"), despite several attempts to contact the data providers and liaise with the area experts so this was force closed centrally on the 9th May by EFM admins so we finalise the data and prepare the release (and open the quarter 1 2024/25 collection window).
Assessment of User Needs and Perceptions
We work closely with our principal stakeholder to ensure that data meet the needs of the Government. This includes reviewing definitions and guidance on an annual basis and an extensive data validation programme during the collection period.
Performance Cost and Respondent Burden
The collection has been reviewed by the Challenging Burden Service and approved by the Data Standards Assurance Service (DSAS). The collection exploits on-line technology to reduce the burden on organisations in completing and returning these data.
Confidentiality, Transparency and Security
There is no person identifiable data (PID) in the NHS Surplus Land collection.
