Summary
This statistical release makes available the most recent NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression monthly data, including activity, waiting times, and outcomes such as recovery.
NHS Talking Therapies is run by the NHS in England and offers NICE-approved therapies for treating people with depression or anxiety. This release also includes experimental statistics from the NHS Talking Therapies Employment Advisor services.

163,419 referrals to NHS Talking Therapies
92.3% of referrals accessing NHS Talking Therapies within 6 weeks
109,260 referrals accessing NHS Talking Therapies
8.2 sessions of treatment on average per referral
55,117 referrals completed a course of treatment
51.2% referrals moved to recovery
67.4% of referrals finishing a course of treatment showed reliable improvement
40,471 Internet Enabled Therapy sessions took place
21,895 referrals with an integrated care contact
5,083 referrals attended an initial employment support appointment
Please note that these numbers reflect activity in the month and are not all based on the same group of referrals.
The proportion of referrals starting treatment within 6 weeks, mean treatment session, and the recovery rate are based on referrals completing a course of NHS Talking Therapies treatment in the month.
