New job roles

A number of new job roles were added to the National Workforce Reporting Service (NWRS) collection tool during December 2022 and are included in the publication tables for the first time. The table below shows the new roles and the staff group they are presented under in the publication tables and CSV. The detailed job roles are the roles PCNs select within NWRS and are presented in the CSV. Where these roles are grouped within the Excel bulletin publication tables, their publication role is also shown.

Monthly collections and publications

To ensure that our statistics continue to deliver maximum benefit to users, we have reviewed the publication frequency of this series of statistics. From January 2023, data about the PCN workforce will be extracted from NWRS on the last day of each month and these statistics will be published monthly. We will notify users of any additional updates via this page.
