Update of missing data for NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG

This report has been updated to incorporate partial missing data for NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG, for quarters 2 to 4 of 2020/21. This added 2,558 maternities for 2020/21 (0.5% of the new national total). The annual percentage of women who were smokers at time of delivery was revised from 9.5% to 9.6%.

Maternities with an unknown smoking status

In quarter 4 of 2020-21 the number of maternities with an unknown smoking status was 1.3%. This is an decrease of 0.5 percentage points on Q3 2020-21 (1.8%).

The following eight CCGs recorded 5% or more of their maternities with an unknown smoking status: 

  • NHS Milton Keynes (33.0%)
  • NHS Devon (9.6%)
  • NHS Bassetlaw (6.7%)
  • NHS Bedfordshire (6.0%)
  • NHS Dorset (5.6%)
  • NHS Mid Essex (5.6%)
  • NHS West Suffolk (5.3%)
  • NHS West Essex (5.1%)

No data was received for NHS Leeds CCG for quarter 4.
