Accessibility statement

The accessibility statement for the NHS Digital Staff Passport service.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the NHS Digital Staff Passport.

For example, that means you should be able to:

  • use your web browser to change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the content using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the content using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the content using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

Note, as an internal staff administration system, this website is not built for use on a mobile or tablet.

On sections that don't provide technical information, we've made the text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Compliance status

This service is currently compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard.

This statement will be updated when full testing is completed prior to public launch.

Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they're not essential to providing our services. However, if there is a specific document that you would like to request in HTML format, we will do our best to oblige where possible and practicable.

Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.

Live video

At launch, the service does not contain live video streams. However, if in future we link to live video to ensure accessibility, we'll record our live videos and caption them. They will be hosted on our YouTube channel www.youtube.com/user/TheNHSEngland
