As part of the broader NHS England integration with the Department of Health and Social Care, a review of all programmes has taken place, and it has been decided that the Digital Staff Passport programme should be deprioritised.
The programme will be working with stakeholders involved to close the programme over the following months. We will work with teams affected to understand and minimise the impact of this decision.
The programme team will continue to work to ensure that staff can move between NHS organisations with as little friction as possible. The efforts that have gone into developing and using the latest technology to create reusable digital employment checks will be shared so NHS organisations are able to benefit from learnings to date.
