Deleting a Digital Staff Passport
How to delete a passport and all its associated data from the service, so a staff member can no longer access your trust's Digital Staff Passport employee portal.
Log onto the NHS Digital Staff Passport employer’s portal using your email address and password.
Note: for extra security, multi-factor authentication (MFA) has been added to the Digital Staff Passport login process. Read our user guide on logging in with MFA.
Select 'Staff passports' on the left-hand side to view existing passports.
All existing staff passports will be shown, along with additional details about the staff member. Select the staff member’s name to review their details.
Select 'Manage passport'.
On the next screen you'll see an option to 'Delete passport'. If you choose to delete the passport, this will only delete the passport with this trust - it will not delete the user's digital wallet or any information held by any other trust.
To proceed, select 'Delete passport'.
You'll see information on what happens when you delete a Digital Staff Passport and you should read this carefully. Select 'Continue' to proceed.
You'll be asked to confirm the deletion one final time. Select 'Delete passport and its data'.
You'll then see confirmation that the passport has been successfully deleted.
The staff member will receive an email and text that their Digital Staff Passport has been deleted.
