First-time login and password reset

Step-by-step guidance for employers using Digital Staff Passport for the first time.

When you've been set up as a new Digital Staff Passport user, you'll receive an email with your login details.

Select the 'DSP login' link to be taken to your trust’s Digital Staff Passport portal.

On the login screen, you are able to immediately reset your password by choosing 'Reset your password'.

Enter your email address into the box and select 'Send code'. A verification code will be sent to your email inbox.

Note: this process will only work if you have already been set up as a digital staff passport user.

Enter the 6-digit code sent to your email address in the relevant box and select 'Verify code'.

You'll then see a confirmation message. Select 'Continue'.

Enter your new password into both boxes and select 'Continue'.

Note: passwords must meet the following criteria:
12-256 characters, containing 3 out of 4 of the following: Lowercase characters, uppercase characters, digits (0-9), and one or more of the following symbols: @ # $ % ^ & * - _ + = [ ] { } | \ : ' , ? / ` ~ " ( ) ; .

Once successfully reset, you will be automatically logged in to the DSP portal for your trust. For future logins, you'll be able to use your email address and new password.
