Managing notifications
How to manage the email and SMS alerts you receive from the Digital Staff Passport service.
Log in to your trust's Digital Staff Passport employee self-service portal.
Note: you will need to have downloaded an access key for your trust’s employee self-service portal before you log in for the first time.
You'll now see a QR code.
Scan the QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone. To get to the scan function, select 'Verified IDs' in the bottom-right of the screen, then the scan icon in the top-right of the screen.
Alternatively, if you’re using your smartphone rather than a computer to complete this process, you can select the green button to connect to Microsoft Authenticator app.
You’ll then be prompted to 'Share' at the bottom of the screen.
The Authenticator app will notify you that you can return to the previous application. When you return to your browser, the screen will refresh to show you are logged into your trust’s employee self-service portal.
Along the top of the page, select 'Passport and settings'.
On mobile view of the Digital Staff Passport employee self-service portal, select 'Menu' and then 'Passport and settings'.

Select 'Manage notifications'.
Details of how to manage your notifications are shown. Set your notification preferences and then select 'Continue'.
Note: consider carefully whether you want to turn off email and SMS (text) notifications, as you will receive no notifications on when new credentials are available to download or if your trust requests any credentials from you. You would only then see new credentials when you log in to the employee self-service portal.
