Reissue credentials to your wallet
How to restore credentials to your Microsoft Authenticator digital wallet in Digital Staff Passport, if you've deleted them accidentally, or lost or replaced your phone.
Log in to your trust's Digital Staff Passport employee self-service portal.
Note: you will need to have downloaded an access key for your trust’s employee self-service portal before you log in for the first time.
You'll now see a QR code.
Scan the QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone. To get to the scan function, select 'Verified IDs' in the bottom-right of the screen, then the scan icon in the top-right of the screen.
Alternatively, if you’re using your smartphone rather than a computer to complete this process, you can select the green button to connect to Microsoft Authenticator app.
You’ll then be prompted to 'Share' at the bottom of the screen.
The Authenticator app will notify you that you can return to the previous application. When you return to your browser, the screen will refresh to show you are logged into your trust’s employee self-service portal.
Select 'Credentials'.
Select the relevant credential category you want to reissue to yourself, e.g. Employment checks, and then the credential, e.g. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
The credential details will be displayed. Select 'Reissue to wallet'.
Check the details and confirm that you're happy to proceed, and select 'Yes, add credential to my wallet'.
You'll now see another QR code.
Scan this new QR code with your Microsoft Authenticator app. You'll then see the option to 'Add' at the bottom of the app.
When you've added the credential, return to your browser. You'll see the portal page with a green notification showing that the credential has been successfully added to your wallet.
