Service search button change in the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS)
A single search button has been introduced when searching for services
To streamline the NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) for new and existing users, local and national services are now shown in a single list of results on the service search screen.
From the e-RS release on 24 March 2023, the service search screen now offers one ‘Search’ option which returns a list of all locally commissioned and national services matching the search criteria.
Referrers are still able to choose from the same full range of services and the way commissioners add locally contracted services to e-RS, such as physiotherapy or podiatry, has not changed.
Provider users are able to 'Search' via the Service Search Criteria screen when, for example, they are onward referring or when performing an 'Update/book' action for a referral.
