Patients can have a single place where they can view and manage their hospital referrals and outpatient appointments

Patients can contact their GP surgery about a health problem, document or update through the NHS App where available

Waiting times in the NHS App

Patients aged 16 and over can see the mean (average) waiting time when they are referred into a speciality at an NHS acute trust

Patient enquiries to healthcare providers in the NHS App

Patients can send non-urgent enquiries to their practice, who can then send replies using the clinical system

Manage health services for someone else in the NHS App

Patients can access medical services for a child or someone else they care for (also known as linked profiles, proxy access or switching accounts)

NHS App integrated live partners and services

Patients may be able to send requests to their GPs, receive healthcare messages, access personal and national services provided by supplier organisations

Switching patient facing services off

Patient facing services (PFS) are Apps, like the NHS App, which allow patients to digitally access NHS services. Patient facing services are sometimes switched off which can impact how patients can access services.
