How to achieve accreditation to the DCB1596 standard
To accredit, your organisation will need to complete all the technical, clinical safety, information security requirements detailed in the O365 or self-management conformance statement templates available on the secure email standard.
Before submitting, the evidence must be signed off by both a clinical safety expert and an ICT expert within your organisation.
Submit the evidence via NHS England ServiceNow where it will be reviewed by the secure email team.
If you are completing the self-management route this would require the completion of a penetration test or IT Health Check (ITHC) which will be reviewed by our information security team.
Once your organisation meets all the requirements your accreditation will be approved.
