Health Survey for England 2022 alcohol consumption methodology changes to alcohol unit conversion factors
This report considers the impact of a revision to alcohol conversion factors used to estimate alcohol consumption in the Health Survey for England. Published estimates of alcohol consumption in HSE 2019 and 2021 were compared with estimates using the revised alcohol conversion factors. This was done ahead of the HSE 2022 report publication where the revised conversion factors are due to be implemented as part of the adult drinking topic report.
