Theatre Estates Data Collection

Background to the collection

The Darzi review describes a need to increase secondary care productivity of which operating theatre productivity is a large part. The Clinical Analysis and Reducing Variation (CARV) team will use the collected data from the Theatre Estates data collection, to understand, monitor and report variation in theatre usage and identify any opportunity to increase productivity. This data will be collated to create the Theatre Estate Register. This data will be collected via the NHS England web-based system, Data Collection Framework (DCF).

Launch and submission dates

A submission reporting window opens every fortnight from Monday through to Friday, allowing providers to submit any notifiable changes via the DCF.

Registered data submitters can access the exact dates of the submission windows on DCF and via FutureNHS.
